VIA ESPN: Ali Abdelaziz, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov’s trainer, sits down with Brett Okamoto to discuss the bad blood between Khabib and Conor McGregor that boiled over at UFC 229 in Las Vegas. (0:11) Abdelaziz expresses his thoughts on the post-fight brawl between Khabib’s team and Conor’s team and how he believes there should be a suspension for both sides, but there still needs to be payment. Abdelaziz reacts to the comments McGregor made towards Khabib and his family, saying the remarks were “racist.” (3:57) In terms of a possible rematch between Khabib and McGregor, Abdelaziz explains that him and Khabib have “bigger fish to fry” and says if Conor continues to push for another bout, he will need to get “life insurance for $100 million.” (6:47) Adbelaziz details why Tony Ferguson is not next in line to fight Nurmagomedov and (9:56) in regards to a possible super fight between Khabib and Georges St-Pierre, Adbelaziz would like to see it happen and also thinks the fans would like it as well, but does not expect the UFC to make it happen especially not for the title.
